Oh look at what I’ve found!! I had done this about two years and something ago, when we were studying Horatius at school for Latin literature class.
The quote says “(while we are talking, the envious time will escape:) seize the day [or YOLO, in modern terms…], putting as little trust as you can in tomorrow” because you might be dead in a few days. The whole poem -I might be willing to translate it later, I haven’t read it in a while now- is actually kind of sad, because it is just about realising that you could die in this exact same moment but you wouldn’t know in advance, so you need to stop hoping for things (there’s no time!) and be happy with whatever it is that you have had. Really, really paralysing and limiting, in my opinion.
